Title Insurance with AmeriTitle

Here’s what’s happening around Silverton this week: August 16 – 23

While many areas have already gone back to school, I'm thankful that Silverton still has a couple weeks of fun left!  Check out the great line up of activities, music, and events.  Be sure to enjoy the farmer's market while it lasts... the countdown is on.

Silverton Business Group

The group meets every Wednesday morning from 8 am to 9 am at Silverton Inn & Suites. Nicky from the Silverton Inn & Suites is the leader for the month of August.

Apple Tree School Supply Drive
Apple Tree kids are once again collecting school supplies for local students. Look for collection boxes throughout Silverton (including at the Chamber office) along with signs bearing apples you can “pick” to fill specific supply needs. Cash donations are greatly appreciated and are used to purchase additional supplies. The program is coordinated through Silverton Together, 503-873-0405.

Social Media Seminars Presented at Silverton Appeal
I wanted to invite you to a special social media event the Statesman Journal will be holding this Thursday the 18th. A social media expert from Gannett will be coming out to talk with us about using social media for marketing, mini-webpage building, and also Google maps listings.

There will be 3 hour-long seminars: The 8:30 am & 10:45 am seminars will focus on social media, and a 2 pm seminar will be about webpage building and Google maps. There should be some really great information for businesses, and we will also be learning more about new social media advertising options the Statesman will have available.

We would love to see you there! If you are interested in attending, please RSVP with a call for your preferred time to me as soon as possible as space in the seminars is limited.
