I thought that this was a really great post and I wanted to let more people see it. It was posted by Paula Hamilton and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
DEEP ROOTS ARE THE ONES THAT SURVIVE!
The drought is taking its toll on our lake levels, our yards and our beloved trees here in The Woodlands and most of Texas. One thing that I have noticed is the the trees such as the pines which have long, deep tap roots are hanging in there while the more shallow, spread out roots of many of the hardwoods are not faring as well.
Doesn't this make a great analogy for us in this business? Good, consistent and smart marketing, networking and client relationships are the elements of digging deep for the long haul. It seems that spreading yourself out too much can cause shallow, ineffective results.
With all of the choices of social media, I believe we can get too spread out very quickly. I have found that by simply choosing what works for me and sticking to it, I am seeing positive results. There is simply no way for me to keep up with it all without my business suffering.
Choose what you do with your time, your money and your efforts wisely. Assess changes that may need to be made and do what works for YOU. Dig your roots down deep and I belive that your stability in this market and beyond will sustain you! You will also be standing strong and tall while others blow over with the wind.
