Inspired by Sardi - My Top 3 Reasons That I am not a Liberal

By
Real Estate Agent with Lanier Partners

While this will have few words it only takes two pictures to provide my top three reasons for not being a liberal.

The first reason is my oldest grandchild, Daniel.

Reasons 2 & 3, my latest grandchildren, Calleigh & Jackson.

Because of and for them, I cannot accept and will fight against policies that continue to increase the debt that they will inherit. Because of and for them I will fight against policies that will grant them less freedom opportunity and liberty than I had growing up. Because of and for ,them I will fight against policies that seek mediocrity rather than exceptionalism.

And, just because, reasons 4, 5, & 6 that I not a liberal are:

Keith Olbermann

Ed Schultz

Jeanine Garafalo

Not very good company being a liberal, Mike - but why not a Conservative? Balancing the budget a crazy thing. Protecting the unborn, protecting the Constitution? I think it is a good thing to call myself a Conservative - I am proud of it.

Mike - Go to TLW - I had to say it in the private group - let's have some fun - it is getting boring here for some reason.

I certainly believe family first - hence the granbabies - I concure. But I don't understand how liberals feel freedom is to spend and spend without any conscquences - and to protect the rights of individuals - especially our children's right to have a country to grow up free in...

Ed Schultz just wanes on me.  Keith is at least, interesting & articulate.

And Nick, will they grow up free if they are gay ... just asking?

Nick - conservatives aren't the only only ones that believe in the constitution and want to control debt. Why do I want to go to The Loving Wife's blog?

William - yep

Nick - conservatives have their problems also

Sardi - and his latest edited clip of Perry is unconscionable. And Olbermann, I don't know of too many who are more filled with hate

Mike - It is not ONLY Conservatives that want to stop spending snf believe in the Constitution - but they happen to have the loudest voice out there right now.

Sardi - Gay or straight all are still free in this country - like it or not Conservatives protect the rights of all - liberals are the ones who demonize anyone who have differing beliefs - you have it wrong on that one.

The Constitution legislates morality through religion -"It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible." George Washington

I've never understood how liberal could want a "cradle to grave" nanny state society.  The experiments of communision, facism, and socialism of the 20th century have all crumbled or are in the process of going bankrupt.  One only has to look across the Atlantic to see the end results of 30-50 years of liberal thinking.

Nick - the Tea Party movement is not a conservative movement, as such, other than regarding spending. It is made up of disgusted republicans, democrats, independants, libertarians, etc. and is primarily aimed at cutting the debt and reducing spending. And some conservatives have joined, others have been pulled along kicking and screaming. Its the Tea Party types that have the loudest voice right now. Also, gays do not have the same protections under the law as straights, and there have been numerous legislative attempts, most of which have passed, that have been designed to limit their rights. And I am not just talking about marriage but about disallowing the same benefits and services to gays as to heterosexuals.

Georgia - who was speaking of Rick Perry? I was speaking of Ed Schultz.

Rob - some people refuse to learn from history, thus exhibiting proof for Einstein's theory of relative insanity.

I am all for gay rights as any other protected class of people. I don't believe in gay marriage but that is my opinion - I do agree with the same benefits as to hospital visits and inheritance, etc. as any other citizen of the United States. We need to be compassionate in our beliefs, and this country has proven to be the most compassionate country any government that was formed in history.

Nick - there are other ways that conservatives want to control private lives, also. But, as far as gay marriage goes, I believe that the government should be out of the marriage business entirely. It should only be recognizing the "contract" piece of it, and that should be at the state level. And thanks for the feature.

Georgia - I was referring to Ed Shulz's unconscionable edit of something Rick Perry said, not to Rick Perry.

Wallace - but that is not what this post is about
