If you have spent any time in the Collegeville area recently you have noticed all the new retail construction that is going on. Numerous new projects are being started and a few are even about to open. Collegeville area residents are dealing with the ongoing construction, but will soon benefit from not having to travel to King of Prussia to dine and shop. The 2 new major projects that are underway are the Providence Town Center in Collegeville (across from Wyeth) and the Philadelphia Premium Outlets located in Limerick (off the Sanatoga exit of 422). These 2 new shopping centers will bring much needed retail and restaurants to the area. The Outlets, scheduled to have their Grand Opening November 8, 2007, will feature over 120 designer and name brand outlet stores with savings of 25-65% every day. ProvidenceTown Center, tentatively scheduled to open in April of 2009, will be one 140 acres and have 550,000+ sq ft retail. Wegman's, Staples, Dick's Sporting Goods and DSW Shoes have all signed on with numerous other tenants in the works, but not finalized. Barnes & Noble
