Virginia Boyd's first novel is currently front and center on the "New Author's Table" at the leading booksellers across the country. One Fell Swoop is a novel in stories, roughly based on her childhood memories of growing up in a small Southern town.
Virginia received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, and received her Masters in Creative Writing from NC State University, while studying with the renowned author, Lee Smith. She also was an English professor at Saint Mary's and created and taught a special creative writing course for senior citizens at the Duke's Continuing Education Program.
The Country Bookshop on Broad Street in Southern Pines is proud to host a reading for Virginia on Thursday, November 15th @ 4:00 pm. Virginia is a close friend of mine, and I can assure you, it will be an experience not to be missed. See you there.
