We Are Told to Stop and Smell the Roses

WE ARE TOLD TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES by those who feel that we may be working too hard. They tell us that all work and no play etc, or that when we are on our deathbeds we will remember the vacations, not the long workdays, work balance is critical, etc, etc.

Of course if you cannot feed your family, that family time loses some of its charm.

Anyway, I decided to try that smelling the roses thing. What an excellent idea!

The first day I tried it, I found a rose and loved it, so I tried it again the next day and even found two roses to smell.

The next day I found three roses to smell, and then four, then five . .

I am now up to 75 roses a day and going for 100!

Hi Thomas...are you literally smelling roses?!?  75 seems like a lot, but 100 does seem even better..Keep that smeller in good shape and you'll be to your goal in no time!

There is something rather special about the fragrance a rose provides. It's captivating!

I live in Portland, the City of Roses, so I'd better get busy and start smelling more of them!  My grandmother had the most fragrant roses ... I can still remember them.
