Ventura County Real Estate Recovery and Car Sales

Hi Sandy, Buyer confidence is certainly what we need to get that recovery going in the right direction. Good to hear that more cars are being sold in Ventura County.

And to think that we almost lost General Motors, and we did lose Mercury and some others.

P.S. Now I can say I know someone in Oxnard. I always loved that name. Was there once a decade ago.

I will be adding to the car buyers later this year.  My car is about 6 years old and I plan to take on last road trip before the purchase and then go for it.  I'm not looking forward to a car payment again, but I have to have a reliable car with a warranty.

These kinds of large purchases have to be good news for the economy... we can stay positive that things will improve!

Sandy, I usually cringe when real estate and car sales are used in the same sentence but in this case, it sounds very positive and let's hope that we are beginning to see the economy pull out of the mess.  Consumer confidence is key and jobs are critical to restoring consumer confidence.  In 2008, our country's problem was liquidity, today it's consumer confidence.

Sandy, any kind of sales improvement is good for the economy, at least workers have incomes to pay for their mortgage and prevent foreclosure.

I wonder how our car sales are doing.  I think commercial real estate is doing better in our area, or commercial construction seems to be starting up, so I hope that it snowballs.
