Indian Land, SC... Sun City Carolina Lakes... A Great Retirement Community for the Active Adult

By
Real Estate Agent with ProStead Realty

Last week I had a nice lady visit the Carolinas and she is a very young and vibrant  67 year old.  She is moving here to get out of the cold Minnesota winters.  She wanted a beautiful ranch and in a community that provides lots of activities.

I showed her several neighborhoods and then showed her the Del Webb Community... An Active Adult Community for 55 and older.

Sun City Carolina Lakes

The buyer enjoyed looking at re-sales and then we visited the model community and she ended up choosing a beautiful lot and plan and will build.

While there she learned that this community provides many activities from...

  • Golf
  • Wood Working
  • Stained Glass Classes
  • Master Gardening
  • Swimming
  • Tennis
  • Dancing
  • Groups for all Interests
  • Daytime Trips
  • Over Night Trips

She was thrilled and is looking forward to retiring and moving into her beautiful new home next spring.

If you are considering moving to Charlotte or the surrounding area I would be happy to help you as well.

Judith, this looks so much like the Del Webb community here in our area called Anthem.  They build a nice home and develop an even nicer community.

Good Morning Judith - Sun City sounds like an excellent community!  I'm supposed to be going to a concert in Charlotte on Saturday (Irene may have other plans for us....RAIN!).....it's an outdoor concert....YIKES>  The concert is on the north end of Charlotte or I would give you a call.  I know from living there that the South side & the North side are like a 'world' apart and seem like two different cities.  We had thought about staying overnight, but we've now decided to drive back home after the concert.

We have a Del Webb community near our area as well.  Pulte is the builder and many seniors have moved and enjoyed.  Isn't it fun taking someone on the journey to locate just what they are seeking?

Good post.  Maybe Dolores and I should be looking at Sun City Carolina Lakes ourselves as I approach retirement.  We spent a lot of time in Charlotte in the 70's when one of our businesses was based there.

North Carolina is a preferred destination for Maryland retirees.  They love the southern hospitality!

 Blooming for you!

That looks like a cool neighborhood for "active retirees." Good job on your part for taking her to the "perfect" spot for her to call home.

Judith,

I think you will do a lot more for that lady than just sell her a house to live in. Coming from Minnesota, I think you'll add more years of quality life for her. She a sweet lady - I can feel it.

You are doing good work - trust me. I know that.
