Twenty years ago, Florida had the highest average age in the United States,

Ten years ago it had the 2nd highest average age.

As of 2010....  5th!

 
According to new information from the 2010 Census, and it shows that the majority of Florida growth came from working-age adults, 18 to 64 years old, who settled in counties on the edge of major cities. 

The current median age for Florida's population is 40.7.
