Does this home have curb appeal to you? I realize it's just a picture and you are probably thinking it's fine, but look closely and you will see that there is not much to this home from the outside. The grass is not very lush, the driveway is stained, the bushes are, well dead, and the small trees and shrubbery are all weeded. A home needs color and life to entice buyers to come into your home. It is a small investment when you break it all down.
There have been a number of times when I have driven up to a home with a buyer and they have told me to not even bother getting out after they saw what the yard looked like. It definitely reflects on you, the seller. It screams you either have or do not have pride of ownership.
If you do not feel the need to do it when you are living in your home, then at the very least go out and buy some shrubbery and do something nice when you put it on the market. I could probably have this yard looking respectable again with about a $100. investment. Plants are not that expensive and if you purchase them from Lowes or Home Depot they are guaranteed for one year. So if you are afraid of them dying on you, and they do sometimes, just yank it out of the ground and stick it in a bag and take it back. As dumb and ridiculous as it sounds they will take them back! Now you have nothing to lose. Remember, the outside of your home is just as important as the inside. Do not ever take it for granted when selling. Stand outside one day and stare at your house. Then ask yourself, "Is this the way I would want to live?"
