I was doing a final walk through with my buyers just prior to closing on their new home in the Kayenta Desert Community near St George Utah. As we walked around the yard I noticed this lonely cactus, determined to bloom! It was a beautiful sight among the dry, red dirt that surrounded it. I thought of the phrase I've often told my children-"learn to bloom where you're planted". This little cactus has certainly succeeded at blooming where it was planted.
Erika, I stopped by because the title of your blog attracted me. That little cactus is hanging in there, for sure. Great "catch."
THanks so much for the inspiration! this is great and shows we can prevail....no matter the conditions!!!
Erika - look at that little guy go! Cacti are amazing plants - so adaptable - great life lesson!
And bloom it did, Erika! It's amazing how they thrive with such little moisture!
