I was doing a final walk through with my buyers just prior to closing on their new home in the Kayenta Desert Community near St George Utah.  As we walked around the yard I noticed this lonely cactus, determined to bloom! It was a beautiful sight among the dry, red dirt that surrounded it.  I thought of the phrase I've often told my children-"learn to bloom where you're planted".  This little cactus has certainly succeeded at blooming where it was planted.cactus in Kayenta Desert Community-St George Utah

Juli-Thanks for stopping by, glad my title "caught" you!

Deborah-I agree with you, we can prevail, we just have to keep trying.

Sharon-Thanks for your comments, this little cactus didn't know the difference.  He was perfectly happy right where he was!

Steve-It never ceases to amaze me how the desert produces spectacular plants.

Mary-I've used this phrase many times and have tried to teach my kids that you can be happy, wherever you are and whatever is going on in your life.

Patricia-I love the red dirt around here too!  Actually, there's nothing I don't like about my desert home.

Kerrie-Thanks for stopping by, cactus blossoms are just part of the beauty here in the desert!

Barbara-Jo-If that little cactus can do we, we should be able too also!

Jane-It was quite a surprise to stumble upon this little cactus, glad I had my camera!
