It is a HOT Summer, and you can feel the heat when you open your monthly electric bill.  If you want to stay cool, and cut down on your electric costs, try these tips:

-  Change your Air Conditioning filter, and do so more often than usual.  As dust and debris collects on your filter, it makes your Air Conditioner strain more to pull the air in through the intake, which will cause you to exert more energy(spend more money) to cool your house, as you would with a clean filter.  While you may spend $3-5 on the extra filter, the savings in the Summertime can be astronimical

-  Vaccuum the vent around your Air Conditioning filter.  This will keep the excess dust on the exterior vent from entering your filter, therefore keeping it cleaner longer

Stay cool, but dont spend more than you have to!

Good ideas and main focal point. I use a charcoal filter which works more efficiently then the regular filters. Also, You rinse and and dry then re-install (I have two so there's no down time). Thank you for your post.
