The City Of Irving is in a severe drought and has started Stage 2 water restrictions. I am hoping we are almost done with this historic hot summer..I saw the 7 day forecast last night and day 6 was 98!!!! Break out the sweaters!!
Stage 2 which is
- Even-numbered addresses (those ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) may water on Tuesday and Odd-numbered addresses (those ending in 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) may water on Wednesday and Sunday
- Odd-numbered addresses (those ending in 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) may water on Wednesday and Sunday
- No irrigation may occur on Monday, Thursday or Friday
- No irrigation may occur between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on any day.
You are allowed to hand water foundations and new plants or use a soaker hose..bucket for up to two hours on any day but no Landscape watering between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. A $2000 fine can be yours if you do not follow the rules...The water demand has increased from 40 million gallons a day in June to over 66 million...”
