Pardon Me... But Haven't We Met Before? A Staging Deja Vu!
I wrote a post the other day about not being able to remember everyone's names. I wish that I had Google Circles in my head. And often the same thing happens to me with houses.
I was called in a while back by my friend and Realtor to consult with her Buyer, who was set to write a contract on a house. The Buyer was catching a flight home that night and was having concerns about where she could put her office since did not have a designated study or office. None of the extra bedrooms could be used because they would be occupied by her children.
I headed out to meet the Realtor and her Buyer. As I was pulling in to the community, I thought something was familiar but I've done a lot of stagings in this area so didn't think anything about it.
I walked through the door and was greeted by my friend and her client. This is what I saw:
Hm-m-m! As my friend was speaking I scratched my head and thought to myself: I've seen this floor plan before." My first thought was that the builder had built several houses with the same floorplan in this area. Things began to look familiar. Well, that happens not every home is a custom home.
But... there was something about this house. I looked around again and then it hit me! This house looked familiar because I'd provided a consultation for the owners in the spring! The house did not go on the immediately so the sellers could have time to pack and prepare their house for sale.
It was unbelievable! The Sellers did all of the work themselves using my tips from the consultation and then used their own furnishings. And that wasn't easy because a lot of what they had was in storage and ready to make the move. I was so proud of the work they did !
Here's the Before picture of this area:
This was my first time to provide a Staging Consultation for both the Seller and the Buyer!
