Why did the chicken cross the ocean?Asian Investors Hearing the Music in Orange County, CA

He was glued to the Realtor whose buyers are abroad!

I indeed have a new client across the ocean, and the time difference means I work night hours while Asian investors are enjoying breakfast.   But I'm  happy to do it!

The sale of Orange County's income properties are strong as rents continue to rise.

Brian, Canadian & British buyers are always here, but this year we've had inquiries from Poland, Russia and Sweden.  I've managed to win the Swedish couple over as clients :)

Okay, I get it - you're burning the midnight oil, so the early bird (the chicken glued to you) can get the worm. Nicely done...and how impressive that you speak the Sinitic languages.

Smart to invest when rentals are in such high demand. Dj

Ellie, having Swedish clients would be awesome.  I totally dig the accent!

Debb, I wish I spoke other languages, but I'm still struggling with my Spanish.   A dancing chicken makes me laugh.  I wonder if that's true for anyone else.

Brian - good thing I can read Chinese? Japanese? Mandarin? - okay so I lied - lol. Good for you working the International circuit  - if they're buying, you're are selling - smart! Besides, it wouldn't surprise me if you did speak many languages - you're a man of many talents!

Kris, you're so well traveled, you could speak in different tongues!    I wonder how to greet someone in Turkish.

Brian - Anyone who doesn't laugh at a dancing chicken -- well, they obviously just don't "Plucking" get it...:) ( I said PLucking)

Brian,

What a great challenge. Your clients picked the perfect person to do the job. Because of the time change, I must ask, do you feel like a collect student all over again cramming for a final exam? I love the parts in your post about the chickens too.

My daughter lives overseas in Europe now and she previously lived in Japan. Those midnight calls are always fun! Are you drinking coffee at 2 a.m.? A glass of wine at 8 a.m.?

Cluck! Cluck! Cluck! Keep clucking along! Maybe you'll get some referrals!

You know Patricia, it really does have that college/law school late night feel to it.   You're very perceptive!   I enjoy a glass of wine in the evening, but I find myself skipping it because of these conversations.

You daughter sounds like a world class act!

Brian, My only International experience turned out to be a fiasco as it was someone trying to scam the real estate attorney.  I was working the night shift during this though.  I'm glad that you are experiencing a different experience.

Brian,

Stopping by after I read Mimi's extremely thoughtful tribute to you.  How great of you to be marketing in an area where they do see value in this market.  So many do not want to take risk now, they just don't want egg on their face!

I am actually a chicken owner and love those birdies, maybe more than my cat.  So I will say that most chickens would do as you, they are industrious and tireless in getting to the head of the flock.  I wish you the very best in your venture!

Brian ... I like what you say that Orange County's income properties are strong and "It's where the music is playing!"  You're probably right about that.
