To all the people living in NC, Virginia, and other areas still in Irenes path I truly hope the storm misses you! I live in Georgetown SC, right on the coast. While I admit to being thankful the storm seems to be passing us by I just wanted to reach out and let the residents who are still in harms way know we here in SC will be praying for you. Good luck, Gods speed, and lets all just hope the weathermen are wrong!
I hope Irene does not hurt anyone. We have had enough natural disastures.

I live in Myrtle Beach. My dad called me yesterday and wanted to know if I was on my way to Aiken, SC. After surviving Hurricane Hugo in Charleston in 1989, I tend to leave the coast and head inland if a hurricane is getting too close to me.
I agree with all the post so far. I was here for Hugo in 89 also, though I was young. I hate to imagine going through that again.
