Hi Joan, Now that is a program. I haven't ever heard of that being done here n SD but it sure makes great sense. Seems your area has this covered pretty well and kds and parents get a leg up on costs. A really nice idea.

Joan that is a really nice thing that the Chamber is doing.  I am sure there are many children that are in need of the school supplies that they are handing out.

William ~  This is a great program and it helps so many kids get a head start on the school year.  Most of the event had to be cancelled due to the weather.  I hope the kids are able to get the supplies they need.

Helpful Hannah~  School supplies get more and more expensive and this event is a great help so that kids are ready for school.\

ED  ~  This is a very popular event. Too bad most of the vent was called off due to the weather!

George ~  There are a lot of families that can use a little help getting the kids ready for school.... I think this is one of the best events the Chamber helps to sponsor.

Free school supplies, there will be refreshments, games, door prizes?

You do have a great state there.  Unless Hurricane Irene were coming, I would make plans to visit.

Stay safe, and I hope you won't be impacted.

Suzanne ~  This programs helps so many kids... while NH has a lot to offer, unfortunately there are those that can use a helping hand.  I am glad that this event is such a big success.  Unfortuantely, it was rained out before Irene arrived!  So far we are safe and hopefully there will not be too much flooding in NH.

Laura ~  I can't believe it's time for school already!  The parents are excited, and most of the kids are just going along with things.  LOL

We have some similar events here, usually hosted by non-profit organizations but occasionally by some of the retail stores like Office Depot and Staples.
