"Matte" "Horn" ~ "Meadow" "Peak" ~ Vacation Souveniers
The Matterhorn derives its name from two German words: Matte meaning meadow and Horn meaning peak. The Matterhorn has become an iconic emblem of the Swiss Alps and the Alp's in general.
Geno, I and our two traveling buddies (Geno's brother and wife) just returned from 2 weeks in Germany, France and Switzerland. We ended up in Zermatt with the goal to investigate the Matterhorn and the glaciers from top to bottom. The sights were unbelievable and here are just a few of our souveniers:
