Today I taught a class at our office on blogging. I am such a novice at this exercise, but shared what I know. I have finally become a Rainmaker here on Active Rain, but have been participating for quite some time. I shared what I have learned. It was a great interchage of ideas as we met.
Earlier this week, I spent about 2 hours helping 2 agents new to our office learn more about My Transactions, our paperless system within eEdge. I knew these agents had been frustrated and it worked to actually lead them through setting up templates for their paperwork. I realized as I was doing this, "I am getting as much, if not more, from this activity."
Earlier this week, I harbored some internal frustration. I was wondering why I give so much to others in the office. I was trying to analyze whether the act of paying it forward would have any positive financial reward for me. When I actually did pay it forward by using my knowledge to teach others, I reaffirmed for myself that I did not care whether I was finanically rewarded or not. My reward was far beyond any financial remuneration.
