The Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival will enjoy it's 13th year this weekend with 8 venues located around downtown Birmingham. Come check out new independent cinema August 26th-28th.

The Alabama State Fair opens today at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Pelham and runs through Septemer 5th. Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for kids. Come enjoy rides, animals, and all that fair food!

Birmingham Restaurant Week continues through Sunday. This is a great time to try some of Birmingham's excellent dining as nearly 40 of the area's most popular restaurants are participating by offering special fixed priced meals. YUM!

The Bell Center Tailgate Challenge is Saturday from Noon to 4 PM. There will be team tents competing for the best tailgating food and team spirit, live music, and kids activities. Jim 'N Nicks is bringing BBQ! Come join the fun and rivalry at Sloss Furnaces!
