I wrote yesterday about ReBarCamp.
Today I was able to attend. Mu guess is about 140 - 170 people were in attendance.
If you have never been to a ReBarCamp, find one near you and attend. it is the great "un-conference" you will ever attend.
I attended 5 classes.
First Class - THE CLOUD, granted, I didn't get a TON from this, and I went mainly to see if there were any fabulous new programs that I could use that I wasn't. Nope, not really. Google.Docs, Docusign, Dropbox, were the main programs mentions. I use them all and can't imagine doing business withouth them.
Second Class - Wordpress for Beginners. I've been doing more and more research on whether a Wordpress Blog is something I should explore. I haven't decided if I want to spend the time or the money to move to this type of a platform, and to be honest, I like it here in the RAIN.
Third Class I attended was an REO Mastermind. Great disucssion from other REO agents, REO buyer's agents, etc. I'm not sure I learned anything, but I contributed, and several people thanked me for my insight into the REO world.
Fourth Class - Facebook Profile or Pages. The best description I heard as to the difference, is that if I want people to KNOW ME, use a profile page, if I want to sell REAL ESTATE use a Real Estate Page. Simple enough, right?
Fifth and final class - yahozee, Wordpress Advanced. First I heard that while Wordpress.com is simple, easy to use and you can't break it, I also found out you can't put an IDX feed on a Wordpress.com site. Wordpress.org is much more work to set up, maintain, and you can break the links. You can pay someone a couple thousand dollars to do it right.
it was a VERY full day, my brain was not exploding. My only regret is Vicky Nagy was there and for the second time we did not meet in person.
