If Honesty Is The Best Policy, Why Are You Trying To Trick Us?
"Honesty is the best policy".
Seems like a simple enough concept, yet we see evidence routinely that some people struggle with making that their daily practice.
Now I don't know about you, but any business or person that starts off with a deception is HIGHLY unlikely to ever get the opportunity to gain our business or our friendship. The proper foundation for a relationship is trust.
Real estate agents get inundated with people/companies all "here to help". We get that, really we do! We and our peers across the country cumulatively spend millions and millions to do our jobs to the best of our abilities for our clients. So what do the companies see when they see an agent's name, address and phone number? Fertile ground for business!
And if we're approached properly and honestly, that business will at least be given consideration. There needs to be a STRONG value add proposition though if you're going to get us to part with our dollars.
On the other hand if you approach us by NOT identifying yourself or what you're about, then don't expect a warm welcome from us. That urgent "Please call me" voice message (by the way, familiar with the Do Not Call Registry??) and an email right after with no indication of what you're about, but with a "Please call me at your earliest convenience!" and your phone number? Again, perhaps you're hoping we'll think you're a potential out of state home buyer?
Sorry, but a quick Google search of your phone number and we can find you. And once we find you and know what you're REALLY about? Let's just say for a "social media expert", you just demonstrated you don't know much about people. Your business is now on our personal DO NOT CALL Registry.
When we're looking to establish a relationship with a potential Warren County home buyer or seller, you're ONLY going to get honesty from us! We don't hide who we are or what we're about.
For the seller, the price we expect to get from a home, the things you need to do to maximize your home's chances of sale. And depending on conditions and needs, we may even be telling you now is NOT a good time for you to go on the market.
For the buyer, you get our honest opinions about the pros and cons of a home & community you're thinking about. Is that "great deal" today going to be an albatross when it's YOUR turn to sell years from now?
