Beware of Cute Dogs, Especially with a Client in Your Car

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Home Jane Realty BRE# 01439865

I have to say I am a good driver, and any client getting into my car can feel safe when we Dog Peeingare on the road.

However, I cannot say the same for when we are standing still.

I took a new client today to an condo building.  As we sat outside waiting for the valet to take the car, a resident came out with her Boston Terrier.  Cutest thing you ever saw, name of Henry.

If you know me you will know that I have never met a dog I didn't like, and I have to stop to talk to each and everyone of them.  Henry was so excited to meet me he jumped into my car and onto my client's lap, where wiggled around for a few seconds.

That's when I heard the owner say, "oh no, he didn't pee on you did he?"

He did.  And it was not insignificant.

So,if you are in my care car, you might want to cover yourself in plastic.....

Lets shake things up at your home today!

Jane, that's hysterical...........if the client holds this against you, I don't think much of your client.  Things like this happen........little Henry just got too excited meeting his new friends.

Sounds like you got the dog too excited. It must be something in your energetic personality. Poor client. Bummer.

Your clothes you can wash but the car seat? How will you get that out of the car seat? Guess you'll carry an extra pair of pants in your trunk now.

I know your client may not have been happy, but I would have done the same thing. You never know what can happen.

Debbie,  actually it was a he and I have not heard back from him :(

Bruce,  they should follow me around for just one day.  They would definitely have enough for a series.

Roger,  poor old Henry, he just couldn't contain himself.  And he was sooooo cute.

Melissa, could have been worse.  Could have been me :)

Elizabeth,  the seats are leather, thank goodness.  We got it off.

Debra,  now I know :0

Anna,  I have to say I was relieved it was NOT me.  I had white pants on.  He had jeans.

Jane, I LOVE animals and I loved your story! I do feel a little bad for your client... but she has a great house-hunting story to tell. :D

Jane, I just Had to laugh when I read that. None of my 3 chows pee in excitement, but they do have accidents once in awhile. Like when one is smelling something good in the grass, and the other one sticks his nose in there at the same time and ends up with a golden shower on his forehead....

That is just too funny!  I take it your client was not too happy?  Or did he/she just laugh it off?
