Toni, so glad you were not affected by the hurricane, and the sandhill cranes are really fun to watch!

They sure are fun, especially when they gather in a group, Joan. You wouldn't believe how noisy they can get.

Toni, Neat photo!  Other than TV/magazines, have never seen Sandhill Cranes.  Were these the ones on the endangered list at one point?

Good Morning Toni,

The Golf Course at Fox Hollow Country Club looks beautiful! Those Sandhill Cranes look like they own the place! Wouldn't you just love to know what they are really saying???

Have a great day!

All that land and they are fighting over a few feet of space...sounds like humans!  Good photo Toni.

Thanks for sharing your local adventures. Dolores and her women golfer friends would play through the cranes.

 Blooming for you!

Toni - while golf course themselves are always pretty to look at, the cranes make this course picture perfect. Cranes are such elegant birds. Love your photo!

Hi Toni, Glad Irene missed your area.  Sandhill Cranes where up in Yellowstone this past week but only a couple.  Think the wolves chase them away.

Bliz - yes, this is the one; there is a high fine if you kill one (deliberately); if you go by our area, they certainly are a good population. We have them all over-I'm glad because they are majestic to watch. And, we are always seeing babies.

Thanks, Sharon. How are you doing?

Patricia - I think they do own the place; everyone stops their golf swings to wait for them to stroll by. They do seem to have very audible conversations and they carry on for quite a while.

Anita - doesn't it though! Thanks.

Roy - it's kind of hard to play through them but they don't stay in one spot for long.

Kristine - I love the birds more than golf too!

Will - thanks, I'm glad too. The wolves probably do go after them so I'm sure they leave quickly.

Toni,

Come to think of it, those cranes owned this piece of land before all those humans moved in and remodeled it.  Happy Sunday, A

Alexandra - so true and we need to give some of it back to them so they can survive. I just commented on your flowers.

Hi Toni,

I've had to stop a few time while I was golfing to get my "ball back".

A squirrel had found it in the fairway and decided to take it home. LOl

Not to mention the bears, deer and the birds.

Very good shot.

Best, Clint McKie

Kristin, thanks, you too!

Clint - LOL -I have heard all those stories from all the golfers I know :) But I sit and watch the golfers from my porch and I see what really happens to the ball. Thanks.

Toni-I am doing better from the shoulder pain and Lindsey is still hanging in there. I just have a legal battle to face because of my youngest sibling. But I will face it and be victorious.
