"Can you spot the NANNY CAM(s)?"

I thought I would pass this on.

After talking with one of my agents about security and how she could make her clients feel safe when other agents are showing her listings and brainstorming for a while we came up with a great idea that she is going to try out on her MLS 'additional comments' block.

"Can you spot the NANNY CAM(s)?"

What do you think?

Are there actually any nanny cams in the property?

Couldn't that be a problem if a potential buyer WANTS the nanny cams and they don't exist?

It is an option of the agent and seller.  If the agent wants to purchase a few cams for those homes that clients want the cams, then great (don't know the cost, can't be that much though).  The idea is that when someone believes there is a camera somewhere, they are not going to make a fool of themselves looking for a camera that may or may not exist.

She is not planning on telling the seller that she is going to install the cams, she is going to explain the "idea".

Thanks, Lisa.  I'm glad you are showing interest.

Hmmm, that could be a very interesting addition to the MLS!  ~

Thanks for you for taking the time to comment on this subject in the Active Rain network.  AR is the new "cyber backbone" of the industry, and with it's uplink to Localism.com it is transforming the real estate marketplace. Agents who don't see which way the cyberwind is blowing are going to find themselves at a considerable disadvantage inside of three to five years.
