I watched the movie Spring Forward (1999) tonight, on Netflix. It totally surprised me! I highly recommend it. I won't go in to the whole story - you can check that out for yourself if you want. Murph and Paul are the central characters - they work for the Park and Rec dept. of a small town. Murph is nearing retirement, and Paul is a young buck..
There is a point in the middle of the movie where they get stoned - and it is just Totally Incredibly PRECIOUS.
Murph says: "Sometimes I could hear my brother like he was standing right by me. He wanted to be a poet. How can you be a poet?"
Paul says: "How can you be anything? I feel like once you decide to be anything there's never any time to Live. Right?"
Murph: "He said something to me once, I think, about every Autumn. In this Indian language he knew, the word that they had for Poetry was the same word they had for Breath. So Breathing was like making a Poem."
Paul: "Maybe that's why they didn't have any books. I mean, Ya know? Breathing is the same as Poetry. And you're walking around and THIS is all you see.You don't have to write anything down. You're Living the Poem...
