Out here in the South West we are blessed with lots of sun and very little rain. When it does rain it pours and it feels great when it pours. In a market saturated with lender owned proprties and investor owned properties for sale how does an agent drive attention to the Short Sale listing. When you're selling a short sale you have to be a Rain Maker if your not a Rain Maker you will loose a sale and your client has a foreclosure on their credit. Start with getting the property pre-approved (l will blogg on this topic latter) inform the buyer and do open houses, go after more listing within the same neighborhood. The more listing the more traffic, the more traffic the greater the chances are you will get a buyer. Do not put up a for sale sign. The property is already on your multiple listing service and active on several Real Estate Sites--Be Sympathetic to your client.. How would you like to come home everyday, the banks are calling like crazy, your client has to sell your home as a short sale, your client lost their down payment, the improvements that went into the property, and then to come home everyday have to see a sign in the front yard. Drive traffic through your local MLS take tons of Photos, Make a Ytube video presentation and if that fails, you can always pray for rain.
