Plus One - How Can We Help Each Other?
When you visit a website or a blog post that you really really like, do you click on the Plus One button on the top or bottom? Do you have any idea how that little action by each of us will accumulate Google juice for the individual, and also for the organization? I don't know if it helps at all yet, or ever, but it certainly would be nice to give a boost to someone you admire in the hopes that it might help them.
I am trying to push that Plus One button every time when I go to leave a comment, or when I read an article online that was good. It's the best way for us to silently Pay it Forward, even though there is no recognition.
Give it a try, and make it a habit!
Plus One - How Can We Help Each Other?
I did but sometimes i get a red one which is not good so i stopped doing them for awhile...thanks Dagny!
Great idea, Dagny. I'll have to reblog. not sure abt the red button - I think it's just a processing error. Often if I go back later, it will work. Who knows.
Google takes the Plus One button seriously... it weighs heavily toward your SEO.
Thanks for promoting it, Dagny!
Dagny: I wrote a post about how much I am enjoying all these wonderful little buttons across the top of our AR posts! I'm hitting the +1's like crazy! Consider this post tweeted, plus 1'd, and "dugg" and more!!
Gene
Gene - Tried to answer your comment from my new iPad - a mini disaster, obviously! Glad you are having fun with the Plus Ones! and thanks for having fun at my post!
Good morning Dagny,
Great advice and I never thought of doing it. I will definitely keep this in my mind when reading posts and leaving comments. Thanks for the heads up!
Good idea. I think the best types of "paying it forward" are the ones where nobody knows you've done it.
Dorie- I am so glad that you will be aware and helping others! I'm sure it probably helps!
Nancy- This sure is a silent one...
Dagny - I didn't know how that worked. I figured it was like the Facebook "Like" button and I was never able to get into the Google Plus club. Does it work even though I'm not part of the Google Plus scene? Wonder if I'll ever get in?
Gail - I think if you go to Google and open an account - fill out a profile, you will be able to receive and act on your invitations to Google Plus, and also be able to click on the Plus Ones. Call me and we'll work our way through it....
Great idea, Dagny! Saw this re-blogged by Debbie Gartner and I'm glad I did!
Good morning, Dagny.....that's a great thought and I'll be doing that starting right now.
DeeDee - Thanks for stopping in to mine!
Barbara - Hope all is well in your area of Mass. I just got off of the phone with Ginny in RI, and she says it will be another week and a half before they have power. She said it was really rough there...
I hope all is good where you are.
Excellent idea! Clicking that button for certain helps your seo and google juice.
Dagny: Are you leaving a comment or just hitting the Plus 1 button? I don't have time for any more comments and feel guilty for just hitting the button.
