The Colors of Summer in Maryland, A Day After Irene

I enjoy walks through the Kentlands and Lakelands communities in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The exercise is good for the body and photographing flowers is good for the mind.

During the past few days, we have experienced an earthquake and a major tropical storm in Montgomery County.  We are grateful that our home and our neighborhood were spared from the major damage that many others have experienced in Maryland.  We do have a lot of tree branches to clean up and there is some wind damage that must be corrected. The community will be just fine in a few days. Life is good in Maryland!
