ALISO VIEJO, CA, February 28, 2006Any real estate professional will agree that $163,500 in education, mentoring, products and tools will propel any new agents career.  Over 1,700 new agents concurred with that premise and put in the time and effort to answer essay and background questions in order to get the gold.  “The Foundation offers some extraordinary free grants and the flow of new agents applying have not slowed despite recent shifts into a somewhat dawdling market,” said Dr. Martin Oliver, Deputy Executive Director at the Real Estate Apprentice Foundation.  Today, the Foundation announced the names of their Top 30 grant candidates drawn from a pool of 1,723 applicants for Season V (July-Dec 2006).  Now the group of thirty is competing for one grand prize of $70,000 (fast-track real estate products and tools donated from leading industry sponsors), $7,000 for nine finalists, $2,500 for ten semi-finalists and $300-$800 for ten honorable mentions.   This elite group of thirty had their essay answers, background answers, bio and photos sent to a panel of sixteen independent judges for final award determination.  Every applicant was eligible for a minimum grant valued at $250, regardless of whether they progressed to the 2nd Round or not.

Nice accolades for all of them.....too bad they all can't be winners just for working at it.  I was completely unaware of the honor, thanks for bringing it to the forefront.

Absolutely!   ... I'm greatly honored to be recognized among these extraordinary agents.

It's too bad that they don't promote the Real Estate Apprentice Foundation more often.  The questioning and interviewing I endure for this competition was beneficial in two ways:

1)  I learned much more about myself and how to build a business by answering the questions/interviews.

2)  It gave me the opportunity to communicate and create relationships with many of the judges .. which were many of the industries top producers, brokers, authors, council members, etc.

If you know of any new agents that would benefit from this ... please pass it on.
