Buyers: What to look for in a Real Estate Agent

The 2011 Brentwood California Real Estate market feels like the Wild West.

Buyers have to navigate many different types of sales. In Brentwood California Real Estate

market you have Short Sales, Traditional Sales, REO's, Foreclosures and Flips. Each type of

sale is unique and has special nuisance's that go with writing the offer and getting financing.

Also there is a lot of competition in Brentwood Real Estate. We have a very low inventory and

most homes on the market will have multiple offers and it can be tricky to get your offer accepted.

So you really need to take the time to find the right agent!

  1. You need to find a local agent. They know the market, neighborhoods, and more important...they know

the other local agents. When you have multiple offers in this market sometimes its WHO you know and WHO has

the local reputation to close deals. Brentwood is a great place to live and there is a lot of competition to buy homes.

     2.   You need to find an agent that is experienced. This is a job that you need to have experience to know what you

do not know. If you want someone to help you find the best Brentwood home for you , please find an experiance agent.

    3.    You need to find a full time agent. People think they can do real estate "part time" but the reality is that

to be an effective agent you have to be in all the time all the way. I search for my clients each day, I network, I preview,

I do open houses, I take classes...its not just about me, its what you have to do to help the home buyer today.

   4.   You need to find an agent you like. The truth is that it takes time to find the perfect home with low inventory, so

you have to find someone you like because you will spend lots of time with them.

Absolutely the right agent makes all the difference in the world.  I always recommend that a buyer interview more than one before making a decision.
