Buy a Home in San Francisco's Sunset District

What costs more: a home in San Francisco's Sunset District, or a wheelchair ramp in the San Francisco Board of Supervisors' chambers?

Buy a Home in San Francisco's Sunset DistrictThis is absolutely incredible. You want a home in San Francisco. In a decent neighborhood. Well, except for the Fog, the Sunset District near the Pacific ocean can be very comfortable. A little history.... The Sunset was virtually a sand dune until construction began in earnest to provide homes for veterans returning home from World War II. In fact there were a few "Westerns" filmed in the area, back in the day, with fake cactus and all!

Of course by now it's all built up, typically with attached Single Family Homes of around 1000 sf.

And now, to top it all off, it actually Does cost more to build a ramp in the SF Board of Supervisor's chambers than it does to buy a typical home in the Sunset. The 10 foot Ramp? $699,413.00

Unreal. Now I have seen it all -an historically accurate ramp! And politicians wonder sometimes why people are opposed to more taxes?

thanks for the info about westerns being filmed in the Sunset District. I can see how that could have been done before.

And OMG about that ramp!
