@LynnRush On-line Release Party: "Wasteland" LIVE 12-8PM Chicago time 9/6/2011

HOSTED BY BITTEN BY BOOKS

Lynn Rush on Amazon

Lynn Rush's Blog

We all know that I pre-order-purchased Lynn's paperback on Amazon.com on August 18th and promptly blogged about her and Vicki Pettersson...

Well TODAY is the day we're going to be lurking on-line hanging out live from 12-8PM Chicago Time at the Lynn Rush virtual on-line launch party and you all are invited to attend. I previously promised my readers and social media peeps who fussed about being left out of the last guilty pleasure club par-tay that I would remind you guys regarding the next time we decided to come out and play together with a cool author on-line. Well, this is me telling you guys here is a stellar chance for you all to attend the next bit of awesome, on-line author mischief and meet some sweet, new, funny virtual peeps.

This is an 8 hour author gig people. Wordy C will be lurking about marathon chatting with her AR, FB and Tweet-peeps for most if not all of it. Yup. That's how seriously we take book club and we make virtual dates because it's bloody fun (LOL). Just the other evening some V-Peeps and Lynn were hanging out on Vicki's pro-board chatting live while watching True Blood on HBO. Yeah, you can actually watch TV with your virtual friends. Having a "Duh?" moment are we? Good. You could have been giggling with us if you were actually social in your social media accounts and answered an open invitation to hang out (LOL).

Wanna hang out? Go click that LIVE LINK and say hello to my gal pal Lynn. ;-)

Psst... If you are an unpublished writer looking for a wee bit of industry advice Lynn is pretty cool to hang around. Live author chats are amazing because it gives people an opportunity to hook up with professional people who are normally inaccessible. That's why not squandering your social media relationships are very important because most of the writers I like are down to earth real people who are pretty encouraging to us newbie-wanna-be authors. Never know where the fun may lead and they don't mind my bouncing back and forth between virtual friend, blogging buddy and squealing fangirl either (LOL).

If you have not done so already, do start by following @LynnRush on Twitter. Psst... her accounts are not run by some anonymous paid intern, it really is the author chatting back at you in her social media accounts and she will be chatting off and on from 12-8pm Chicago time today on the Bitten By Books website so don't miss your moment to hang out with a fabulous author who may have other author/industry pals briefly popping in and out as well.

It's a time zone thing with some of us so I've been sitting on this blog post for daaaaaays making music while waiting for the virtual par-tay to go live (LOL). If you are reading this blog post before 8PM on Tuesday, September 6th then YEAH, WE ARE LIVE RIGHT NOW (silly grin). Lynn also has an author Facebook page I like to lurk on you may want to check out. Once you read her novel Wasteland I'll bet my Tazo tea and lemon loaf some of you may find yourselves clicking the LIKE button. I am wild about my tweet-peep. She is mad cool and very talented with more books coming so keep an eye on this one. Chicka is a keeper (happy sigh). :-)

P.S. there will be neat give-aways at this on-line party (like a free Kindle people) so click the LIVE link above and chat in the comments section. Lynn Rush has two author tribute tracks on the Book Club Blues Album:

Sherry Soule on Amazon

Sherry Soule on Twitter

SherrySoule.com

Wanna know what goes well with a Wasteland read? A Beautifully Broken one (LOL). Lynn Rush turned me on to the marvelous Sherry Soule. Chicka left me spellbound and drooling for her next release. Ever watch a speed reader's brain stutter to a halt? Yall need to start following @WriterSherry on Twitter. My Tweet-peep made me start over to read really, really slow because my skin started to prickle and the cartoons in my brain started to crawl off into the corners because her demons are big, bad and ugly (LOL). I slept with the light on on purpose. Did I mention I'm 46 years old? I am you know. I just act like a 3 year old because my 5 year old is the boss of me and I sometimes like being as transparent and uncomplicated as a kid (LOL). Sherry knows how to make the boogie man real and get your soul flinching (yeah, sometimes a good soul flinch will make a stellar fan out of ya' - after all, how often does that happen, eh? O.o - LOL).

FYI, her Amazon bio states: "Sherry Soule writes young adult, horror, and paranormal tales. She has a morbid fascination with haunted houses. She adores cats. Loves scary movies. And she's a bookaholic. The first book in the Spellbound Series (about a quirky sixteen-year-old heritage witch that lives in the gloomy town of Whispering Pines, where teenagers have mystically disappeared for years) was published June 2011 by Moonlight Publishing."

I'm not into spoilers so go buy Beautifully Broken and download that puppy into the electronics of your choice. You may not think you want to read a book starring a 16 year old with Devil/Demon issues but I am here to tell you that you really, really, really, really doooooooo (with the lights on, of course - LOL).

Once I started I couldn't put my Android down and skipped going to the bathroom at my allotted time because a shower would have interrupted me (LOL). Needless to say when I finally did finish my late night social media schedule was all shot to hell and back. Like Lynn, chicka knows how to get you furiously turning pages. My poor Droid is getting battered with all that swiping back and forth. My Kindle app actually froze on me (creepy, creepy frustrating moment - it was a good part - silly grin).

I love when authors keep me up at night (LOL). Of course I had to start sketching some music to dissipate all that nervous energy. Sherry really inspired me... plus caffeine and chocolate makes me a wee bit hyperactive (silly grin). Vicki Pettersson calls it being "uber-energetic" but my hubby will tell you it's the ADD (evil grin). One of Sherry's author tribute tracks is already mastered. The other one is on it's way. It would have been here today but Stacia Kane has me distracted with How to be a Sex Writing Strumpet (and yes, I'm saving THAT bit of Book Club mischief for another blog post - evil grin).

If I were not a J-Heep, V-Peep, Kim-Stream, Invasion of the Urban Fantasy Book Babes kind of girl I would not be tricking out four digital audio workstations having mad fun doing a multiple album series full of author tribute tracks. The Book Club Blues album is turning into a stellar project and I'm enjoying every minute of chillin' on-line with the writing peeps. I was telling author Jeannie Holmes that the project was turning into a J-Heep/V-Peep album because a lot of the tracks are indirectly influenced with/by my playtime in the Vicki Pettersson Fans Facebook group (LOL). I keep telling the Book Club Bookies they need to get their blogging butts over there (dramatic sigh) but they seem to prefer my Skype parties because we don't have to type (can you say LAZY PEOPLE? That's right I SAID IT IN PUBLIC and will no doubt say it again - silly grin)

The fun thing about being a Vicki Pettersson V-Peep is the fact that she is really cool about pointing her fans in the direction of other stellar authors like Pamela Palmer, Karina Cooper, Larrisa Ione, Jaye Wells, Lynn Rush, Jeannie Holmes and Jeaniene Frost. Once you add our literary devotion to all things Kim Harrison and Jocelynn Drake, our book club pursuit of tremendous authors spreads and sprouts in every social media direction imaginable. Each book we bookies buy and blog about is like us playing mini-patrons of the literary arts. Writers are artists and we enjoy supporting our writers, especially if they are mad fun being themselves in their social media accounts. If you happen to be new to my blog you will discover I'm all for digging out the fun peeps to follow about cyberspace (and teasing them in all sorts of interesting ways - like making noise - LOL).

Working on some J Frost music tonight when I finish mastering the Beautiful B track. I actually have 35 tracks to master. 19 are done... Here are a few already up on deck I blasted out to Twitter and Facebook:

Tann Starr - Book Club Blues - Pettersson Blue 256kbps by C Tann Starr Tann Starr - Book Club Blues - Celestial Vicki 256kbps by C Tann Starr Tann Starr - Book Club Blues - Jaye and Tequila 256kbs by C Tann Starr Tann Starr - Book Club Blues - Dollmaker 256kbps by C Tann Starr Tann Starr - Book Club Blues - Harrison Red 256kbps by C Tann Starr

I'm already over an hour of music on volume one so it's time to finish playing with the Jocelynn and Jeaniene draft-tracks before I run out of CD space. Yeah, I know there is a volume two being sketched out but I can not have the aforementioned J and J missing after creating four tracks for Jaye Wells because that would just be so wrong on so many levels (seriously - gotta fit my Triple-J-gals in there before I hit the 76 minute mark because they are all such amazing writers). We heart Jaye and keep tweaking stuff to tease her with. Yeah, we're addicted to blogging and compelled to cook up more social media mischief because that is what we do (silly grin). We will be doing more head banging with author Jeannie Holmes too. Turns out we are both metal heads (LOL). ;-)

FYI - Jocelynn Drake has an interesting link-back blog-list of great authors we pay a lot of attention to. Not only is Jeaniene Frost on that puppy, but so is Kim Harrison, Vicki Pettersson, Charlaine Harris, Melissa Marr, Rachel K Vincent, Laurell K Hamilton, Jenna Black. I need to go buy Kelly Armstrong, Neil Gaiman, and Raymond E Feist because I have to admit to being clueless but curious about them. My Book Club Bookies are madly in love with J Frost so I am gonna end this post with her and get back to playing with LYNN. She is chatting about her next book as well as Wasteland, so if you have author questions today is a great day to ask them. ;-)

Jeaniene Frost will make you very happy about staying up for late night. Book Club Bookie alert: Schedule time to read this series because you will not want to put her books down. EVEN ON THE RE-READS. Seriously... Chicka had me all red eyed and bleary this morning (happy sigh) and made for the best gal pal musical making sleepover evah (LOL).

Now you know why I stayed off my blog for a couple of days. Yeah... blame it on the holiday marathon music making, going gaga over Sherry Soule, playing in Facebook and the gal pal Frost Fest which was absolutely fabulous (LOL). When you finish wondering what mischief we were up to in real life (since this post is just a hint of things to come), get in on the JF reading and live Lynn Ruch author chat action. With Jeaniene you have a lot of good books to choose from to get your Literal Addiction Paranormal Book Club on (silly grin). J Frost has it going on with fascinating characters and a few of these are multiple book club bookie fave reads like: Happily Never After, Devil to Pay, Under Her Skin, Halfway to the Grave, One Foot in the Grave, At Graves End, Destined for an Early Grave, This Side of the Grave, First Drop of Crimson, and Eternal Kiss of Darkness.

According to her Amazon bio: "Jeaniene Frost is the New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling author of the Night Huntress series and the Night Huntress World novels. To date, foreign rights for her novels have sold to seventeen different countries. Jeaniene lives in Florida with her husband Matthew, who long ago accepted that she swears like a sailor, rarely cooks, and always sleeps in on the weekends. Aside from writing, Jeaniene enjoys reading, poetry, watching movies with her husband, exploring old cemeteries, spelunking and traveling - by car. Airplanes, children, and cookbooks frighten her. For more information on Jeaniene's books, including reading the first 20% of her novels, deleted scenes, creature mythology, and more, go to: http://www.jeanienefrost.com"

Literal Addiction Paranormal Book Club Facebook Page supports our fave authors!

Next on the Book Club Bookies deck? Richelle Mead of course. Chicka is a fab author and recently gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy. That means I have a lullaby to finish writing... among other things... ;-)
