Vegas Home Inspection convention

By
Home Inspector with Elliott Home Inspection

Here I sit from my hotel balcony in the Wisconsin Dells on vacation writing about about yet another trip I will be taking in early October to Vegas.

My plans are to rent a car and visit my daughter outside of San francisco and will be my first time in California so if anyone has tips on what to do please let me know.

What a hard life.LOL.

"Seriously" I am going to Vegas to attend a 4 day convention that includes lots of continuing education classes which are definatly neeeded by myself and anyone else in this profession as we usually work alone in this chosen field.

Real Estate Agents though often working alone many times work from a brokers office and have regular fellowship where tricks of the trade and learning are often shared while us Inspectors usually work alone and have little contact with other H.Is unless through a forum such as Active Rain or belong to an association at a local level.

I actualy won a free pass to the event howver will be upgrading it so I can attend a commercial inspection class and look forward to the opportunity to expand into that field in the future.

The Real Estate market has been up and down the last few years as many of you here already know, so taking in auxillary services in order to stay busy is always a good idea.

Here is a link to the conference http://inspectionconference.com/.

Will add some more to this later tonight since the hotel requires me to check out soon and typing while doing 80 MPH may not be the worlds greatest idea.

Good Morning Bob, I live in Southern CA and Im familiar with San Francisco area. One of the best things to do is to take an all day stop and go city bus tour. It's really the best way to see all the major sites including the Muir Woods, Twin Peaks and Golden Gate Park.

Thanks for the advice Krista.

I just got back in and corrected the typos (yikes) which is why I do not use my netbook as much as when I bought it,especially in the sun.

My daughter is just west out in wine country but will make sure to head into San fran.

She had been living in San Diego but her and hubby bought a home after previously renting.

Took this last trip because I saw web views (my sites) way down a couple days in a row before deciding to leave and with school just starting experiance taught me that RE gets slow at end of August.

Funny that I got 10 miles from home and had a call for a job which is of course a good thing.

Hey Bob, I hope you have a great time at the convention, I wold have loved to join you there, but  I just can't get away this year.

Dale, you be careful.

Do you know how to hunt? Watch out foor the grizzles. They say that to keep the grizzles away you should wear little bells on your shoes.

You can tell if there are grizzles in the area by checking their feces, A brown bears feces will have berries and nuts in it (this time of the year). A grizzles will have nuts, berries, and little bells in it.
