Woodland Hills: Atlanta's best neighborhood for CONVENIENCE and VALUE!
Situated to the south of Lavista Rd. and west of Briarcliff (boundary Map), Woodland Hills is a great Atlanta neighborhood with considerable investment potential. Many residents cite the neighborhood's convenience to Emory University & Medical Center and the CDC as the main reason for choosing to live here. Others picked Woodland Hills because it offers easy access to BOTH I-85 and GA-400, shortening commute times in any direction. They also love being so close to Piedmont Park, Midtown Atlanta, and Buckhead. Those who love to shop drive a short distance to Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza Malls. In fact, Woodland Hills is so centrally located, all of those Atlanta landmarks are less than four miles from Woodland Hills neighborhood! No wonder so many people are looking to buy a house in Woodland Hills.
The original homes in Woodland Hills are post-war cottages (pictured above on the right). They were mostly built with wood siding, and over the years, have switched to vinyl siding or upgraded to brick or stone. In recent years, new Craftsman-style homes (above) have replaced several of the orginal houses, and this trend is likely to continue in the coming years. Woodland Hills has a strong and active neighborhood association with a website that allows residents to discuss issues like crime, improvements, local politics and other important issues that affect property values.
