Contact Manager

By
Real Estate Agent with DeCoursey Real Estate Group

I have used several different contact manager systems and have not been truly happy with any of them.  Just curious as to which ones were the most popular among AR users...which one do you use?

I am currenly using Top Producer.  So far, so good.

As a member of By Referral Only we get an online based contact manager that is amazing! The best I have ever used. We have one touch mail labels, email lists, phone lists, we can mail merge in like  2 steps...amazing! I used to use Outlook and Agent Office...not anymore. I still use outlook but only for email tracking.

Check into it: http://www.byreferralonly.com/ I think they have a place where you can look around at what we have available to us as members.

Good Luck!

ACT is always a great program.  Usually you can customize it to the parameters you want.

I have been using top Producer 7i for a few months, and am still learning about it.  The capabilities are great, but I am still figuing out what else it can do.  The contact management system so far is  great.  Once I figure it out, it's awesome, but it is not as user friendly as I would have liked.

Marlene,

You are completely correct.  Not very user friendly system, however, there are so many functions that are wonderful that you just can't find with other systems.  I love the automatic letters and the mailing that you can set up.

I am debating getting the Outlook Connector, do you have that function?

Larry - Good question.  Currently I'm using Top Producer 6I. Not the newer 7I internet version. 7I looks great. My problem is Top Prudecer wants to charge us $130 per month because there are 5 of us ( 2 Agents - 3 Marketing). I have been checking out ACT for real estate which should have a newer version out next week.

Dear Larry,

Excellent question. I have the full Top Producer 7i suite and I think it's worth every penny. The contact management tools are great and the website is an easy to use templete based design. I strictly used organic SEO and it seems to have worked wonders. I'm already the number one result on many searches in my area. Plus it integrates with the contact system perfectly. I highly recommend both. Good luck.

Sincerely, Michael Pennisi

I've been using Outlook since 1997. Others have come (you name it - I've used it) but I've always gravitated back to Outlook. I recently splurged for Outlook 2007. My opinion - if you already have at least the 2003 version  - don't bother to upgrade. If however you'll still running 2000 - you will be absolutely  amazed at what you can do in the newer versions. If you've never used it,  you'll find the learning curve steeper than most - but the rewards of Outlook are significant.
