Operation Pinecone Operation Pinecone

Sherry Wilson and the Team here at RE/MAX Leaders are proud to announce our association with Operation Pinecone. This organization was founded by Mary Hacker of South Riding, and is dedicated to supporting our troops by collecting and distributing necessities and gifts on a year-round basis. Mary coordinates deliveries to our soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Medical Center, The Fisher Houses, The Malogne Hotel and the Walter Reed post library as well.

During the recent holiday season, Sherry and the Team donated several large "care packages" to Mary and her helpers for distribution, and we recently received a wonderful letter from Major General David Rodriquez of Task Force Freedom thanking us for our efforts. Such a small gesture goes a long way in making a difference in the lives of our soldiers who risk their lives daily.

In support of Ms. Hacker's on-going efforts, our office in Purcellville will be designated as a Western Loudoun Drop Site, so that our friends, clients, and neighbors can stop by anytime, and deliver suggested and needed items. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm. There is a large collection box in the lobby of our office...please stop by and say "hello" and drop off an item or two when you're in town such as: packages of dried fruit, small packages of peanuts, Slim Jims, hard candies, small personal hygiene items, CDs, DVDs, paperback books etc. For a complete list of suggested items and to learn more about Operation Pinecone visit: http://www.operationpinecone.org/or contact Nancy Sabella in our office at anytime.
