Vegas Bob says "Shame on you DELTA AIRLINES" ... very poor Customer Service!

Shame on you "DELTA AIRLINES" ...

 

Robert (Vegas Bob) Swetz's father and some other relatives flew into Las Vegas Nevada this evening, and they were very disappointed with DELTA AIRLINES.

They flew in from Minneapolis Minnesota on Flight 1551 which arrived in Las Vegas at around 7:00pm Pacific time 9-2-2011. They mentioned to Vegas Bob that the Flight Attendants were plain rude, yelling at passengers, etc.

One passenger asked a Flight Attendant for a glass of water for his child and they said no, also that they wouldn't be serving any beverages on a 3 hour flight.

My father, sister and other passengers mentioned that the toilets were giving off a nasty odor like an "Odd-House" that hadn't been cleaned in weeks. My father even asked one of the Fight Attendants if they had some air freshener to spray in the toilets, the attendant said to my father ...

"No I don't have any air freshener, do you?"

This is just plain RUDE and some terrible customer service, and they are lucky that Vegas Bob wasn't on this fight ... ;o(

All I can say about the way that passengers on Flight 1551 were treated from Mpls/ MN to Las Vegas NV is "Shame on DELTA AIRLINES, the Flight Attendants and maybe DELTA should find some employees with more respect towards people ...

VB, I haven't flown in years. When I did used to fly on a regular basis, I flew United. Never cared for Delta. Not sure if United is still around. For the amount of money consumers pay for air fare something should be done about the rude and abolute horrible treatment of its customers. They treat their customers like they are cows. If I don't have to fly, I won't.

VB, I usually ty to fly Delta whenever possible and have never in the past 30 years experienced anything even remotely like what you've described.  I am hoping it's an isolated incident which can and will be corrected.

VB - As a former Flight Attendant (Air Canda) I can only say that this type of "customer service" is unacceptable.  Please make sure you write a letter to Delta Airlines.  I'm sure they will only add it to the pile, but this needs to be documented.  I'm so sorry your relatives experienced such poor service.

I have heard a similar bad customer service for Delta airline. Perhaps they are not treating their employee well therefore the flight attendents were rude to the customers.

We are hesitant to fly on Delta.  On a flight last year to FtLauderdale, they started rudeness at the gate.  For some reason known only to some obscure creature in the universe, we were on StandBy...no explanation even though we had the tickets a long time.  They were rude and unpleasant to everyone at the gate, at least they dd not discriminate.  I laughed when I saw their latest ads and commercial about their superb service.  Looking forward to hearing what happens on your end. Bad experience with them in 2008.  The first and only time I flew with them.  They lost my luggage.  They didn't even know where it was because they SUPPOSEDLY didn't have electronic scanners back in 2008. 

Our plane got in late (it was 11 PM or so) and the people at the counter didn't give a rat's ass if I had to be at my grandfather's funeral at 9 AM (son was a paul bearer) with no formal clothes.  They finally delivered the suitcase full of clothes to my parent's house at 9 PM the night before we left.  Offered the three of us ONE $50 voucher for our "inconvenience".  I don't believe there was even a "sorry".

Never ever ever will I fly them again.  Luckily I had family to borrow clothes from but it wasn't fun and I was extremely sleep deprived for the funeral.  I much prefer flying on Southwest even though they have the "cattle call" for boarding.  Flown them MANY MANY times and they don't seem to lose luggage and they are on time for the most part.

It's a rough job, but the fact is that people in the service trades often forget that they are in 'service' industries.  And you build, or destroy, service businesses one customer at a time.  If I managed an airline, I would tell my employees to always remember two words:  Pan Am. 

They were once the most prestigious airline in the world and they are long gone.

That is a big 10-4. Delta sucks like crazy. They canceled a flight on me at the last minute.

wow that sure is to bad that happen to your family and the other folks. Delta use to be a top Airline to fly on. Back when I did a lot flying I used them all the time, that was many many moons ago.
