Get the Skinny from McKinney: a few tips to help sell your home!

RE/MAX United is Selling Homes

Two strategies can help during these volatile economic times:

First, curb appeal is more important than ever. Sparkling clean windows, swept walks, trimmed landscapes and a big pot of geraniums on the front porch are just a few things that can help set your home apart from others on the market and draw in prospective buyers.

Second, price your home properly. In Wake County, properly priced homes sold for 98% of list price. Homes that were priced high and then repeatedly dropped sold for 88% of the original list price, but took three times as long to bring in a buyer. Today’s home buyers are sophisticated and educated about the real estate market; if your home is overpriced, they won’t bother with a walk through, let alone an offer. Like most people, buyers are comparison shoppers.

As you can see, the real estate market is a beauty contest and a price war at the moment. We look forward to helping you navigate these challenging times.
RE/MAX United remains the #1 company for all of Western Wake County (which includes Cary, Apex, Morrisville, and Holly Springs) when it comes to the number of homes listed and SOLD. So you not only have our marketing, networking and hard work in your favor, you also have a strong name and market presence in the RE/MAX name.

I had no idea that curb appeal meant so much to selling a home. I mean, I should have figured because when you drive by the house all you see is the front landscape. Thank for for sharing.
