Denver is a great place for college grads. Are you a recent college graduate looking for a place to put down roots? CareerRookie.com and Apartments.com just compiled a list of the “Top 10 Best Cities for College Graduates,” and Denver was fourth on that list. Only Hartford-New Haven, Cleveland and Boston outranked the Denver area.

One reason the top 10 cities were chosen was because they provided recent college graduates with the best chance to effectively launch their careers. The report painted a realistic picture of the Denver job market as well as the cost of living for each of the 10 cities, based on criteria important to young adults. Another plus for graduates is that nearly 50% of local employers stated that they intend to hire recent college graduates, according to CareerBuilder.

Spokesperson for Apartments.com Tammy Kolula said that the ratio of renters relocating for job opportunities is nearly three times greater in 2011 compared to 2010. Kolula continued to say that this influx of new renters is a sign that the economy is improving because people are willing to relocate.

Denver also offers a host of other benefits for young adults who relocate here. Westword (a local online Denver publication) asked staffers what they loved about Denver. Here are just a few of their responses.
