New Technology for Listing Agents

By
Real Estate Agent

There is a new technology that does everything SMS/text and QR codes can do but more and better.  You put a specialized wi-fi router inside the home for sale.  When potential buyers approach the home, they are sent an SMS/text message with a virtual tour link and other info about the home.  They don't need to text a keyword to a short code are scan a QR code.

it also is great for open houses.  Instead of a potential buyer leaving with a paper flyer, they leave with a video of the home on their phone.  My seller clients love to see that I am using the latest technology to sell their home.  I have also received some good leads from unrepresented buyers. In addition, the technology knows how long a potential buyer was at the house and how many times they returned.

I just started working for the comany, so if you have any questions, you contact me at mkackley@a-blast.com

What's the company?  How does it work? How much does it cost?  Is it movable?

The company is a-blast.  They have deployed the technology in malls, casinos, retail, etc.  They now have a new vertical desinged for real estate.  How it works, you plug in a small a-blast router inside the home (size of a deck of cards).  It transmits a wi-fi signal in and around the property.  When a potential buyer enters the "zone", they are sent an sms or they open and browser and can view the info and virtual tour.  Since they are on wi-fi, they don't have to worry about the video being choppy like if they were on the 3g cellular network.

If you would like to email me your cell #, I can forward a sample SMS that a potential buyer would receive when approaching a listing with a-blast.  It cost $395 for the hardware and set-up.  If there is no internet in the home, there is an additional $150 for another peice of hardware.   The hardware is moveable, so once the house is sold, the box is reprogrammed for the next listing.

Sounds cool, but does it send automatically or do they have to request the information. I would be rather upset if I got something sent to my phone that I didn't ask for even if it didn't cost me anything.

If they register with their cell #, then they will automatically receive the SMS when in the zone of any a-blast house.  If they just want to view the virtual tour w/o registering, they can.  If they do register and want to opt-out later, they are instructed in the SMS to reply with "stop" and then they won't be sent any messages without asking.

I put together a video explaining the technology.  We are looking for sales reps in top DMAs throughout the US.  If you know of someone that might be interested, please forward this link.
