You usually find me in Red Feather Lakes, CO, but it’s only a short drive over the Boy Scout Ranch Rd. or the Manhattan Rd. from Red Feather to the Poudre Canyon. (about 10 miles)
The old toll house, built in 1935 is situated at the intersection of Hwy 14 (the Poudre Canyon Rd) and County Rd 69.
Tolls were collected to help pay for the construction of Hwy 14, through the sometimes steep Poudre Canyon and across the Continental Divide, connecting Fort Collins and other eastern towns to North Park.
The toll house is directly across from the Rustic Resort Sign and you can easily walk across the road to the Glen Echo Resort and get a bite to eat when you don’t want to do the cooking.
Seven Mile Creek runs along the Eastern side of this 3.2 acre property. Previous owners caught trout and panned for gold in the creek and actually found a flake or two!
