North Dallas is one of the larger suburbs of Dallas and encompasses the north section of the city, full of great communities and various neighborhoods that make Dallas the city it has become. Whether new or old, the neighborhoods within North Dallas each have their own culture and charm, and their own reasons to become your new home.
Most of North Dallas is located within Dallas County, with a portion that falls into both Collin and Denton Counties, reaching into new cultures and amenities for residents to fall in love with. The area holds close to the Park Cities which are highly popular and affluent within the city, as well as Richardson and Addison which are also quite popular and more affluent for the city. In all, North Dallas holds a great deal of the wealthier neighborhoods and communities, making it a wealthier section of the city.
North Dallas used to refer to the section of Dallas just north of Downtown Dallas, yet has grown through the years to reach the bulk of the north section of the city, making it one of the most prosperous and highly chosen areas of the city to live within.
There are so many smaller neighborhoods found within North Dallas, which include Renner, Audelia, Preston Hollow, Hamilton Park, Koreatown, North Park, Platinum Corridor, Bluff View, Webb Chapel, and others as well. Each of these many neighborhoods offer a different social and economic edge to the suburb, offering new and exciting venues and attractions, as well as homes to the area.
Shopping can be done within the NorthPark Center, the Galleria Dallas, as well as Valley View Center, with education provided by various school districts, including Plano ISD, Dallas ISD, Richardson ISD, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, and others as well. This section of Dallas also holds the Texas A&M TAMU-Dallas campus, which is a more renown school of the area. There are several public libraries in the area, and a high range economy, with several headquarters and big businesses within the area – which leads to higher placement for workers and professionals in North Dallas.
Getting to the homes, there is a great mixture of all styles that can be found in Dallas, from Tudor to Prairie, Estate to Rancher, Craftsman to Traditional, with other great styles as well, with many different sizes to the homes and the landscape as well. In many cases, there are very high priced homes that do reach into the $1 to $1.5 million range, with those that can creep up a bit more in price, and those that may be more modestly priced around $500,000 or less with smaller homes.
