6th Annual Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail Festival

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Brooks Prime Properties Wichita Falls Texas

Montgomery Wine and Food TrailAnd, I can't wait! Last year we were totally out of town and I missed the whole thing. Years before I didn't live here so this year will be my first time ever. Driving through old Montgomery is pleasing to the eye and senses.

Much of it is preserved from the original town built in 1837. Walking through the buildings that are now Antique Stores and Restaruants is just a ball.

I can't help but admire the old wood and design of the wood and the creaky floors and such.

There is such a flavor of the past and an era that stands in History.

Montgomery County was third County to join the Charters of Texas and also the sight of the birth of the Lone Star Flag.

This year I am not going to miss the Wine and Food Trail!

Down Town Montgomery features a very special place called "Texas Uncorked" our very own Winery!  It even gets better though. Our Wine and Food Trail includes CHOICE TEXAS WINERY'S AND SAMPLES OF TEXAS FOODS! You will also be able to sample seasonal and micro-brewed beers. Whew, that'll keep me busy for a few hours!  Booths will include Arts and Crafts, upscale Artisan vendors and more. 6th Annual Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail Festival

Oh Deb ~ There is something quite charming about a town that was built in 1837... if walls could talk ;)  Sounds like a wonderful time to savor the flavor ;-)  Enjoy!

Deb- a while ago I was reading a book that my cousin had published that was taken from the diaries of my great grandmother and her sisters (filled with wonderful history) and I actually found out that one of my relatives some hundred or so years ago sold their dining room (walls, floors, ceiling, trim, doors) to a museum in Delaware.  I looked up the museum, called them and it's still on display.  After reading your post about the creaky floor boards I am more determined than ever to make a trip up to see that dining room.

And how cool that even though it's a wine festival they planned things for the kids.  Very Cool.

Seems everyone is getting ready for Wine Trails in different areas of Texas. We like to scoot along Wine Trails up around Sisterdale and on up throughout the Hill Country. If someone has not ever attended, you should. Lots of fun.

I remember the very first one and so glad it is still going strong.  We used to have the Montgomery Old West Festival with a very cool and authentic cattle drive.

My wife and I always spoke about going to a Wine Tasting, but we have yet to do it. We will have to actually make the leap at some point because I know we would have a good time.
