There has been a debate - for some time - about whether extroverted personalities do better at sales than introverted ones. I think the extroverts have come out on top. However, I think introverted, shy, quiet people can do very well indeed. I do not sell homes but I have a friend - now retired - who built up a very successful real estate career, though you would never say she is an outgoing type. She simply did it by being an honest professional. She established a loyal following through mutual respect and trust. I decided to write this now because for some odd reason, I was thinking of her two minutes ago. Enjoy your labor day working. Why not?
That's a nice post to remember your friend and to point out that EVERY type of personality can be successful. Doing the right thing, being honest, and delivering on what you say will speak volumes to many regardless of being an introvert or extrovert.
That is the "exciting" part about being a real estate broker, and having YOUR own niche to market with and build relationships with. All walks of personalities have the ability to take the proper marketing tools, social media tools, and the willingness to use those tools wisely, to build a very good business.
I believe you pegged it on this post. Gone is the necessity to be a flamboyant Realtor. Today clients want honest, hardworking, and knowledgeable
It's true that many personality types can succeed at real estate. personally, I have a style that is more akin to a project manager than a classic 'salesperson' but it works for me. have a great day
Jaime - Honesty and experience will beat out a personality type any day in sales! Thanks for sharing your story.
