I'm jumping in here and putting up my first post in Active Rain, after taking some time reading other posts, making a few comments, and figuring out how AR works. While I am no stranger to blogging (totally unrelated to real estate), this is a much different platform than I am used to. So, Hello Active Rain!
As a newbie on AR, I feel my first post should be more of an introductory post. But, where to begin?
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

If I began at the beginning, we would be here for a very long time, but the short version is that I have lived in Knoxville, TN for the past 20 years (with a couple of short stints elsewhere). I was trained as a paralegal, worked for a Title Attorney and several general practice attorneys, and finally starting and running a small cleaning service with a partner for the last 15 years. Oh, and I love quotes!
But, I suspect you are more interested in my real estate adventure. So, let's begin with that!
“Oy,” you say. “A real estate adventure?!”
Well, I am one of those folks that likes to/tries to view nearly everything as an adventure. It makes life much more interesting, especially in this industry, I am finding.
Think about it for a second. Let's take a (not so) hypothetical scenario of working with a buyer. Would you rather “drive them around for weeks on end, seeing 58 different houses” or would you rather “explore different homes, while your buyer is searching for that hidden treasure that makes that house 'the one'?” I choose the latter. It's much more fun for me and for my clients. It adds a little lightheartedness and let's face it, attitudes are catching.
So, does having fun mean I don't have a serious side? Absolutely not! Someone that's worked for attorneys not serious! Ha! Seriously, I am a stickler on my paperwork – all those I's must be dotted and T's appropriately crossed, other wise it's not complete.
Well, I've begun at the beginning, but I won't stop because I haven't come to the end.
Until next time!
P.S. The sunset in the header was taken from my deck so it truly is representative of "my corner of Knoxville"
