It's been hectic this summer. There have been times when I've looked at the calendar and wondered where June/July/August went. Now - it's September. HUH??? Where did September come from? Wasn't it just May?
I was talking with my better half the other day about how fast it's gone by. We have a lot of business to show for it but what about the non-business time? We managed to squeeze in some fun stuff - Diamondbacks with friends in Phoenix, concerts here and there, dinner with friends but I'm not sure how we did it!
It all comes down to making time for you. It really is the simple things in life that can rejuvinate, inspire and get you out of business 24/7. Others are doing it, why aren't you?
My friend's great dane Maggie has the right idea.
Maggie is completely deaf. When the dogpark opened in Las Cruces a few years ago, we were worried that she wouldn't be able to go since we don't have verbal recall with her. At one point, Maggie went on her own and found a ball. She played and played with that thing and, when it was time to go, the ball had to come to.
The simple things in life, my friends.
I'm off to enjoy the rest of the Labor Day with my better half - we're doing absolutely nothing but enjoying our time together and maybe tossing some ribs on the grill. I hope you were able to relax a bit as well.
