My son, Skye is going into the 4th grade and after going to our local office supplies store to buy supplies for our son, we walked out of there spending $105-. I almost fell over! I know the list says, "SUGGESTED SCHOOL SUPPLIES LIST", but you know this is what we are suppose to actually get and the ream of paper is to help the teacher through the year with costs as well. Not to mention the budget cuts!

Our school made a list of suggested supplies to provide to the class, not for your own child. Although I completely agree with your shock, I guess we have big hearts. My wife and I bought the "suggested class" supplies 4 times over and delivered it all to the teacher. We are now planning on buying the class a computer. I know it sounds over the top, but it's the least we can do for the folks teaching our children.

WOW! Mark that is pretty awesome!! WOW! Again! When I was PTA President I gave a whole lot of my time and money and supplies too! As much time I put into it, I thought what if I spent that many hours on my RE? So, I did and my business has quadrupled~. (TRUE STORY). Now, it's fun to write a check as a local business ;)
