September begins with a bang! Not only are all our children back to school, including preschoolers, but this Labor Day weekend brought with it yet another series of destructive wildfires in Central Texas and throughout our region. Unfortunately, without several inches of rainfall and high winds the Harris and Fort Bend County areas have issued a burn ban. On Saturday’s throughout the month of September, look for the fresh Farmer’s Market, home to many locally grown fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy as well as a number of other products, goods and services. September 11, 2011 6:30-7:30P 911 Remembrance Day with The Katy Area VFW Post 9182 presents a special remembrance ceremony on the 10-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks to be held at LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch. A reading of the names of those who died will begin at noon.
September 12, 2011 10:30 am meet with Monday’s for Mommy (or daddy, grandpa or even your babysitter). This month features a “Carnival of Fun” with games and activities for parents, toddler and preschool children.
