This site is replete with agents, brokers, and inspectors but I don't remember seeing any escrow officers or title company people, yet, without them, it would be impossible to have a proper closing. When I was in the construction lending business, I quickly learned who was dependable and who was not. One I remember fondly would burn the midnight oil for me - another forgot to schedule a closing. The knowledge and motivation from one officer to another - even within the same title company - ran the spectrum from poor to magnificent. I even knew two who later became attorneys.
